We’re in high-growth mode and looking for a seasoned star to support key client accounts (which span across industries!) and play a key role in helping to produce and execute communication programs. The ideal candidate is a master communicator with an entrepreneur’s heart, someone who craves creating compelling stories and finding new ways to build awareness for clients. We’re looking for a self-starter with excellent personal standards and a strong history of commitment, accountability and consistent results. Killer writing skills are also key.  

 

Daily you will: 

  • Support day-to-day account activity and execute multiple projects simultaneously to ensure deadlines are completed timely and accurately

  • Build an understanding and knowledge of client business objectives and their competitive environments in order to effectively take part in tactical execution of communications plans 

  • Work with team members and supervisors to provide high-touch client service and ensure requests are taken care of in an efficient manner

  • Manage administration of accounts including agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, client status reports and budget trackers

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media, know what it takes to drive media coverage for clients and have knowledge of the current media landscape, verticals and outlets 

  • Have a solid understanding of how to identify, engage and partner with influencers

  • Develop content for clients, including writing, editing and proofreading materials such as press releases, fact sheets, media pitches, blog content, award abstracts and more

  • Be savvy in digital and social media, with an understanding of the latest digital tools and trends; ability to write social media content

  • Participate in new business efforts, including playing an active role in pitches and the drafting of pitch and proposed materials 

  • Serve as an active participant in internal and client meetings, and proactively share relevant information and ideas when appropriate 

  • Most importantly, work as a team player. As Babbit Bodner is also a “gazelle brand” poised for high growth, supporting our teammates is critical in this and all roles at Babbit Bodner

You: 

  • 1-4 years of direct work/internship experience in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or related field 

  • Demonstrated experience executing public relations campaigns that produce significant results 

  • Natural ability and interest in staying on top of relevant trends, hot topics and the top news and stories of the moment 

  • Client relations or customer service skills with responsibility for regular communication and follow-through; Understanding of and commitment to consistently delivering a high level of client service

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce original content for digital and print channels

  • Knowledge of digital landscape and social media environment; experience managing and creating content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

  • Experience working with media and influencers, developing targeted media lists and pitching stories and/or conducting original media outreach

  • Strong research skills with the ability to develop in-depth industry knowledge and expertise as needed

  • Highly accountable and strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through

  • Ability to be cool as a cucumber as you work under tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, drive and imagination

  • Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, journalism, liberal arts or related field
