Oracle beats Microsoft in bid for TikTok's U.S. assets: Oracle’s acquisition should resolve President Donald Trump’s executive order threatening to ban TikTok unless the assets were sold by Sept. 20. The order came amid an ongoing concern about privacy and security on the Chinese-backed app that has become massively popular with Americans, specifically teens
2. Burberry partners with Twitch to livestream fashion show: Burberry will use Twitch’s Squad Stream function, which allows users to view multiple perspectives of the show at a time and chat with fellow viewers using the service’s chat window.
3. NFL season debut draws fewer viewers in crowded sports space: The NFL’s season opener on NBC attracted a far smaller TV audience than a year ago, held back by a busy schedule that included all major sports vying for viewers at the same time because of COVID-19 delays.
